Hi, I’m Kat, teacher and mentor for contemplative practices and self-realization.

My Approach

I witness people return to their own voice.

Most of the people I work with are capable and accomplished, and quietly depleted. They have become fluent in everyone else's needs and lost touch with their own.

My journey began in 2004 with medicine person Dariusz Rawa. I received my first Soul Retrieval from him (a practice similar to Internal Family Systems but rooted in Indigenous medicine). I studied with his teacher, Char Sundust, at the Sundust Oracle Institute from 2007 to 2009. In 2014, I was initiated into the traditional Western Usui Reiki system by Daisy Thompson, receiving my Reiki Master certification from her. I have studied with the metaphysician Maria Lujan Peralta for over 15 years. I trained with Qi Gong master Chungliang Al Huang at the Esalen Institute. I am also a student of Kabbalah, Jungian Tarot, and the non-dualist traditions.

In all, I have over 15 years of experience holding space for others: 12 years as a Reiki practitioner, 9 years as a Reiki Master Teacher, and 8 years reading self-reflective tarot for teams and executive events.

What this cumulative experience has taught me goes beyond technique. I remembered the pathway back home, returning to my voice, to my direct knowing, and to a deep sense of aliveness.

I teach from the body, from lived experience, and from perennial wisdom. I learned this work the long way, through my own suffering and the slow practice of trusting what my body and intuition were telling me before I had language for it. This was not an obstacle to becoming a teacher. It was the initiation.

Before any of this was my work, I was a professional cross-disciplinary artist, having shown in universities and galleries across the West Coast. I was featured in Blouin's Modern Painters and published by Rutgers University. My work explored the seam between the physical and the spiritual. That exploration continues in my current work.

My lineage is also a heritage. My mother's line comes from the Philippines, from Luzon and Visayas. My father's from Norway, Ireland, Scotland, France, Canada, and Coast Salish. I hold all of it.

Here is what I have come to believe. You are not broken. You have forgotten. The work is not becoming someone new. It is remembering what was always true: that you have your own ground, your own voice, your own knowing, ready to rise above the noise and the performing.

I teach frameworks for that return, one to one and through my school, OONA OF EARTH. The work is attention training, somatic practice that restores visceral knowing, and sacred technology that isn't gated by lineage. It supports your work, your relationships, and the care you already give, and it sits alongside your therapy and wellness care, not instead of them.

My focus now is mentoring others in remembering their own agency, through contemplative practice, for all bodies and identities, sans dogma. My focus now is mentoring others in remembering their own agency, through contemplative practice, for all bodies and identities, sans dogma.

Remember. Return. Aliveness.
