Hi, I’m Kat.

My journey began when I was a toddler. I had a mystical experience: looking up at the winter sky with snow falling, I sensed a large presence. I felt as if there were a hand shaking me while I was inside a snow globe. My life is dedicated to that hand, and to breaking the edge of that snow globe — what I’ve come to learn is Consciousness.

‍ ‍‍ ‍ I have transmuted paralyzing doubt, anxiety, abuse trauma, and addiction into a power that my younger self never imagined. That transmutation is the ground I stand on.

My Lineage

I met medicine person Dariusz Rawa when I was 23. I received my first Soul Retrieval from him. This was a life-changing experience of gathering wounded parts of myself from my past and releasing traumatic memories from my body. It was a grief slushie — and Dariusz delivered fresh eyes so I could see my whole Self through it. He is the first person who granted me permission to be the healer and witness I am today. I honor him.

My work with Dariusz led me to study with his teacher, Char Sundust, at the Sundust Oracle Institute from 2007 to 2009. Here, I learned spiritual frameworks that restored my sense of belonging to my soul and the earth. Char initiated me into the ancient wisdom of elemental healing, and right relationship with self, others, land, and cosmos.

In 2014, I was initiated into the traditional Western Usui Reiki system by Daisy Thompson, receiving my Reiki Master certification from her. The spiritual frameworks of Reiki continue to expand my psychic and physical experience of Consciousness.

I have studied with metaphysician Maria Lujan Peralta for the past 15 years, into the present. With her, I’ve developed my psychic mediumship to an expert level. I also receive mentorship in the Kabbalah, Astrology, and Tarot.

‍ ‍I trained with Qi Gong Master Chungliang Al Huang at the Esalen Institute. Huang was Alan Watts's close friend and collaborator — he finished Tao: The Watercourse Way after Watts died — and studying with him felt like receiving a ribbon of that lineage. I am a student of secular Kabbalah via David Ghiyam, and Hermeticism.

I teach from the body, from lived experience, and from perennial wisdom. I learned this work the long way, through my own suffering and the slow practice of trusting what my body and intuition were telling me before I had language for it. This was not an obstacle to becoming a teacher. It was the sacred calling of initiation.

Before any of this became my business, I was a professional cross-disciplinary artist, showing in universities and galleries across the West Coast. I was featured in Blouin's Modern Painters and my work is on the cover of The Crucible, published by Rutgers University Press. My work explored the seam between the physical and the spiritual. That exploration continues.

My Ancestors

My mother's line comes from the Philippines—Luzon and Visayas. My father's line is from Norway, Ireland, Scotland, France, Canada, and the Coast Salish peoples. I hold all of it.

I imagine all of my ancestors as energy entering the back of my heart from a distant past—so far back it returns me to my awareness that all sentient life is born from the same particle. The energy turns into shapes; I cannot see their faces, but I see feet on the earth moving, stomping, and dancing. I feel all of their heartbeats like a drum beating from the hot core of the earth. They share with me all of their suffering, all of their hope, all of their joy, all of their ability to prevail—it courses through my heart into every cell of my being.

It is because of my ancestors that I am committed to living in service to kindness.

My message to myself is this: Remember the intelligence of the body and heart. Return to sovereign agency. Live in aliveness!

My Approach

I have spent years holding space for people inside high pressure rooms — reading for executive women through Women In Tech via Mia Blume, and later brought into GitHub and Vercel to hold the same kind of work inside their walls.

Most of the people I work with are capable and accomplished, and quietly depleted. They have become fluent in everyone else's needs but lost touch with their own.
